Subject: chitownguitar?
Any chance you taped any Samples shows in Michigan between 92-95. I'm looking for a couple shows that I am certain were taped in East Lansing and Ann Arbor. Subject: Awesome show!
Now here's a great show! One of my favorites! Probably helps that I was there and I was the one that taped it. Anyway, the soundcheck is really cool to hear, some unusual covers/snippets, particularly "Like a Hurricane" which is really impressive. As for the show itself, it gets off to a great start with one of the best versions of "Suburbia" that I've heard. Other highlights for me were the "Out of Reach" jam in the middle of "Waiting Up" - be sure to check that out. "Taking Us Home," "Nature," and "Shine On" were also personal favorites. Overall, after getting too drunk at the 4/3/97 (Charlottesville) show and food poisoning at the 4/6/97 show (Morristown NJ), Sean appeared to really want to put on a good show. Silliness was kept to a minimum, and most songs they played were great versions. Enjoy!
